When did founder Chris Johnson get into this? In his 4th grade journal from 1996 (recently discovered in his parents’ attic), he clearly wrote his New Year’s resolution was to “go on video gigs”. He took the family camcorder and made every possible school project into a movie. In high school, he excelled in TV Production class and began working at the local corporate video production company. He majored in Television, Radio & Film at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and interned with PBS. After a couple years freelancing, he incorporated CE Solutions with S.U. business school classmate Evan Weissman. 10 years of company growth later, he loves this as much as ever.
Being well-versed in all areas of production and how they interact from conception to final media presentation has always been key. Malcolm Gladwell famously said in his book “Outliers” that after talent, it takes 10,000 hours of work to be considered an expert in a field. Chris passed this number a long time ago. He’s proud of having been dubbed a “Swiss Army Video Guy” by director/producer Vin Nucatola for his work on set and in the editing room. His projects have taken him to 33 U.S. states plus Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, the U.K. and Ireland.
Chris is an Eagle Scout. When not staring at a video monitor, he can be found writing and performing standup comedy, playing ice hockey, or hiking and skiing the world’s mountains with his lovely wife.
Co-Founder Evan Weissman met Chris Johnson at Syracuse University and they quickly collaborated to build something creative that would help business owners. A double major in Entrepreneurship and Finance, he was instrumental in getting CE Solutions off the ground as the two built relationships with many small businesses around NJ, NYC and Long Island. Evan offers web development and marketing services to CE’s clients in addition to his work in Finance over time for Digitas, R/GA and Broadridge.

He’s not too shabby with a camera either. He and his wonderful wife recently welcomed their son into the world!
